In Stock Days
print icon

Definition: This is the total number of historic days in the selected date range filter in which the product was in stock.

Note: For when the product was in stock. Used when there is a date filter.

Equation: count distinct of days, where the product was in stock, if a product was out of stock at the end of the day, but had a sale then it counts as in stock.

Example: In Stock Days is used in a lot of other metric calculations, but it can also be nice to look at this metric and make sure retailers understand why there are large discrepancies between two products like those highlighted below. If I were a Retailer, I would make note that the Subx product was only in stock 3 days out of the time frame I selected in the filter. This could mean the amount they order needs to be increased to allow for more availability.
