Definition: This the total number of units in stock at the end of each day.
Note: requires a daily filter, can only be used at a daily level
Equation: sum of quantity in stock
Example: This will be used for trend analysis at a daily level, we can see the peaks of quantity in stock for edibles below of a filtered demo store. We see that the first week of February had the highest amount of stock for the filtered 60 day date range and it reached the lowest at the end of January. A retailer could use this measurement to better understand how they had stocked product in the past to help them determine a good way to do it presently, or the flip side, they can see if they went too crazy on stocking product and that stock is still too high.
