Customer Segmentation: Across Stores and Selected Stores

 

What is it? These two dashboards enable you to better understand your consumers through Headset’s RFM segmentation. In “Customer Segmentation: Across Stores,” you can see your customer counts and revenue by one selected segment across your connected stores. In “Customer Segmentation: Selected Stores,” you can see your customer counts and revenue across all segments for a group of stores or one store.


Why would you want this? To better understand who purchases your products & answer questions like:

  • Do your products resonate more with visitors/one-time shoppers?
  • Have your brands built strong consumer loyalty among “Champions” and “Loyal” customers?
  • What customer segment is driving most of my revenue at these select stores?
  • If only a subset of loyal customers are purchasing your products, is there an opportunity to host a vendor day to educate new customers about your products?

Example Analysis using Customer Segmentation Across Stores

I want to see how Loyal customers shop differently across several stores.

Filters would be entered in as shown below (*our demo account just has one store, but you would select multiple/all stores here):



From the graph below we can see that the Emerald Valley has 1 Loyal customer generating ~$60 revenue in the trailing 365 days.

 

 

Next we can see from the second graph below that Emerald Valley Loyal customers on average make 4 trips in a year.

 

 

 

Example Analysis using Customer Segmentation Across Selected Stores

What is the top performing segment across the Emerald Valley Stores?

From the graph below, my brand is attracting Visitors from the Emerald Valley stores as well as New Customers (light blue represents distinct customer count).

 

 

From the bottom graph, you can see that my Promising customers at Emerald Valley prefer Concentrates to other categories. Because these customers are likely to convert to Loyal or Champion customers through increased spending, let’s incentivize them to spend more by offering a “Buy 3 concentrates, get 1” deal on their favorite category.
